In about two days from now, Tecno is expected to officially unveil it flagship device, the Phantom X2-series. Two models of the phone has been previously sported online; a supposed base model with AD8 as the model number, and a possible Pro version modelled AD9.
Recently, the life images of one of the models surfaced, revealing the design of the phone. Like in other previously leaked images, the Phantom X2 will sport an extravagant camera module on the rear. This module will have two other large openings, along with a third sensor held in a smaller opening.
Sadly, we still do not know the individual sensors to expect within these openings, but since the recent Infinix Zero Ultra came with 200-megapixels, it won’t be out of place for Tecno to offer the same, except if it is something even better. Besides, the Phantom X2 will be more ‘flagship‘ than the Zero Ultra.
Flipping to the front, you are greeted with the same curvy looks of the Zero Ultra. Thankfully, Tecno is ditching the archaic pill-notch of the Phantom X, in favor of a more modern dotted notch. And with the curved edges, the screen-to-body ratio may stretch above 90%.
Tecno Phantom X2 Specifications (Rumored)
As per the leaks and reports, the Tecno Phantom X2 smartphone will come with a 6.8-inch Full HD+ curved Super AMOLED touchscreen with 120Hz refresh rate support.
It is said to feature a 64MP triple rear camera setup which will be paired with an ultrawide lens and a macro lens. On the front side, the phone will be equipped with a 32MP snapper for taking selfies and video calling.
The device will get a 5000mAh battery according to an earlier certification document, and Tecno itself has confirmed Dimensity 9000 5G CPU. The phone is said to be running the Android 12 operating system out-of-the-box and not the latest Android 13.
Tecno Phantom X2 Launch Date
The Phantom X2-series will be unveiled globally on December 7, which is about 2-days from today. The death of former Chinese leader Jiang Zemin on November 30 affected the launch of both Xiaomi 13-series and iQOO 7 SE and 11 series. Hopefully, the Phantom X2 will not face the same story.
