PHANTOM, the premium sub-brand of TECNO, will launch its latest smartphone, PHANTOM V Fold, on February 28. It will take place at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2023 in Barcelona. The phone also will be TECNO’s debut foldable smartphone in the field.
Back in January, TECNO first released a concept video for a rollable smartphone. While we already know PHANTOM V Fold will be a left-right foldable device, rather than a rollable design, it could well see similar features brought to life. Some inside information leak confirmed that. So let’s take a look.
Our source says, that the hinge seen in the leaked image will be the same as in the concept video. So really using TECNO’s own self-developed design. The source also reports, that the hinge’s reverse snap structure improves the phone’s structural stability. And aerospace-grade materials ensure strength of PHANTOM V Fold, while remaining lightweight as well. So the phone is not gonna drill a hole in your pocket.
The leaked image also reveals a circular distribution camera design with three rear lenses on the device. Our source adds, that this will be part of a 5-lens system overall. If true, then it promises to provide plenty of ways to take some amazing images. We have also heard, that the black colorway in the leaked image will be one of two available for PHANTOM V Fold.
It has already been confirmed that it will be the world’s first left-right foldable smartphone to be powered by MediaTek’s outstanding flagship Dimensity 9000+ processor. So the performance should be settled for every user need.
