The name of Tecno‘s concept phone with a foldable screen is Tecno Phantom Vision V, according to a report by GSMArena. However, it is different from all the other foldable phones available on the market. The reason for this is that it has a rollable sliding screen.
However, kindly note that you should note that it is a concept device, which means it is unclear whether the device will be commercially available.
The Tecno Phantom Vision V’s video shared by the publication begins by showing the device in a folded state. It appears that the outer display has slim bezels and a curved edge.
The back of the Phantom Vision V has a triple camera unit with a quad-LED flash. The camera module, which sits flush on the rear shell, looks inspired by the Phantom X2 series. A small display is available under the camera setup. It can display notifications, always-on display content like a clock, and reminders.
The device is equipped with an aerospace-grade titanium alloy casing and a durable hinge with a patented design. When folded, it appears like a regular, pocket-friendly smartphone. The inner display, which is made up of 11 functional layers, can expand to offer a screen space of up to 10.1 inches. If such a device arrives in the market, it may result in the death of the tablet sooner or later.
While there is no official word from the brand, there is a possibility it may announce the Tecno Phantom V foldable phone since the moniker was spotted in the Bluetooth SIG’s database last month. At the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2023, which will be held at the end of February, many smartphone brands are expected to announce new products and new technologies. It remains to be seen whether Tecno will showcase its foldable phone at MWC 2023.
