The Chinese smartphone manufacturer, Huawei, has a long list of smartphones and tablet devices that will in due course get the EMUI 9.1 update.

The list with a total of 49 devices is inclusive of both Huawei and Honor smartphones and Mediapad tablets and should be getting the latest EMUI 9.1 update in no distant time, though no time frame has been given for the roll out.

The latest  Huawei P30 series comes with EMUI 9.1 pre-installed on top of Android Pie, and as per the latest update plan by Huawei, the Mate 20 series are the first category of devices eligible for the EMUI 9.1;

  1. Mate 20
  2. Mate 20 Pro
  3. Mate 20 X
  4. Mate 20 Porsche Design edition

You will recall that the Chinese firm already started rolling out the stable update for the Mate 20 Pro and the Mate 20 X (AL00)  and all devices under the series after a Beta test of same in China.

The second categories of Huawei phones billed to receive the EMUI 9.1 Closed Beta for internal testing are as listed below;

  1. Mate 10 series
  2. Mate 9 series
  3. P20 series
  4. P10 series
  5. Nova 4
  6. Nova 3
  7. Nova 3i
  8. Honor 8A
  9. Honor 8X
  10. Nova 2s
  11. Honor 7
  12. Honor 10
  13. Honor V10

The third category of devices includes the;

  1. MediaPad M5 Lite (10.1 inches),
  2. MediaPad M5 Lite (8.0 inches)
  3. MediaPad M5 (10.3 inches)
  4. Honor Tab 5 and a few other tablets as well as the
  5. Huawei Nova 4e
  6. Nova 3e
  7. Enjoy 9 Plus
  8. Enjoy 8 Plus
  9. Enjoy Max
  10. Enjoy 9s
  11. Enjoy 7s
  12. Enjoy 9e
  13. Honor 9 Lite
  14. Honor 8X Max
  15. Honor 20i
  16. Honor 9i
  17. Honor Play.

Huawei is yet to reveal the exact time frame when these devices will receive the update, but given that the Mate 20 series already received the update, the next category of devices should receive the update sooner than later.
