On earlier iPhone versions, battery
percentage could easily and quickly be enabled to show in the status bar every
time, however with the iPhone X, that an option no long exist. Since the alleged
“horns”—the space on either side of the notch—are not spacious enough
to house as many icons as earlier iPhone models, some concessions had to come
up. And one of them was to get rid of the battery percentage from the status
bar.

However, just like me who love to see the battery level in
percentage, if you miss such info, regardless of the battery icon displaying a
rough estimate, you can still view battery percentage on the iPhone X, though
in an indirect manner.

There are three ways to go about it:
1. Start charging your

phone
This sounds funny and of course not a good way to go but it’s
still a way. So, if you have no intention to charge your iPhone X and you want
to see the percentage of what’s left, then you have to plug it into a charger,
or use a wireless one, and you’ll see exactly how much power you have left.
2. Ask Siri
You can view battery percentage on the iPhone X by simply
asking Siri “What’s my battery percentage?”, or something else to
that effect, and Siri will tell you.

3. Open Control Center
Swipe down from the right ear to open Control Center and see
your current battery percentage. This is the easiest way to do it and probably
the one you’ll use most often.
