Poco has unveiled the the F5 series of smartphones which was meant to be introduced to the global market on May 10. The series will include the vanilla Poco F5 and the Poco F5 Pro. These devices will be rebranded versions of the Redmi Note 12 Turbo and the Redmi K60.

Poco F5 unveiled
The vanilla F5 is powered by another Qualcomm chipset, but this time it is the mid-range Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 that has one CPU at 2.9 GHz. Storage is 256GB, while RAM is either 8GB or 12GB.
The Poco F5 has the same size 6.67” AMOLED panel of 120Hz refresh rate, although the resolution here is 1080p.
The rear camera setup consists of a 64MP unknown main sensor, 8MP ultrawide unit and 2MP macro camera. OIS and EIS are still present, but the fact that sensor isn’t confirmed suggests a downgrade compared to the Pro. The selfie camera’s specs read 16MP resolutio and f/2.45 aperture.
The Poco F5 weighs just 181 grams with a 7.9 mm profile. The battery of the Poco F5 is 5,000 mAh and supports 67W charging. Other features include Android 13 with MIUI 14 on top, NFC, IR blaster, NFC and Bluetooth 5.3.
If all these specs look familiar, that is because the hardware is shared with another China-only phone – the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Turbo.

Poco F5 Price and Availability
In India, the POCO F5 is priced at Rs 29,999 and Rs 33,999 for the 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB configurations. ICICI Bank cardholders will be eligible for Rs 3,000 instant discount. The smartphone comes in Electric Blue, Snowstorm White, and Carbon Black colors. It will go on sale starting May 16th in the country.
As for the global pricing, the POCO F5 costs $379 and $429 for the 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB variants. It will be available from May 9th.
