Microsoft Teams is a workspace in Office 365 that has group chatting, video chats, and document sharing. Earlier this year Microsoft opened the “Microsoft Teams” service for personal use with friends and family to take on ZOOM Meetings, Google Meet, and WhatsApp video calling. Now, Microsoft Teams support for web and desktop is rolling out with free all-day video calls for everyone.
Microsoft Teams for web allows the user to add up to 300 users(friends/family members) in a video call. Microsoft Teams for web doesn’t need a Microsoft account or Microsoft Teams app to join a chat or call. So, Microsoft Teams for web will be the easiest way to communicate with your friends and family now. To start a meeting you have to visit Microsoft’s new Teams web link and Sign in.
Due to the COVID-19 outbreak doctors and government officials recommend the people to stay home even during the ongoing festival season. Such services enable users to connect with near and dear ones easily. The new feature will further ease the Microsoft Teams’ usability.
Moreover, it is a market strategy of Microsoft to gain more and more users during this Thanksgiving week. Similarly, a few days back Zoom meetings also announced that they will lift the 40-minute video call limit temporarily for Thanksgiving day. Other companies like Google Meet has a 60-minute limit and Cisco Webex has a 50-minute limit.
