Mediatek introduces a new entry-level chipset, MT6739 chipset
Mediatek has introduced a new chipset to its entry-level series
of processor. This was announced at the Chinese company’s event which hosted the
India Mobile Congress 2017. The newly announced entry-level chipset is MT6739.
The SoC has quad-core CPU and will support two main cameras, 18:9 ratio screens
and dual VoLTE.

The chipset has four Cortex-A53 cores and operates at up to
1.5 GHz. Its supports screen resolution which is limited to 1440×720 pixels –
720p in 18:9 ratio. The modem is LTE Cat.4, and dual SIMS are supported.

The MT6739 will be coming as an update to the MT6735, and will
start powering phones by the end of 2017.
