Almost everybody has an Instagram account, in fact, not just individuals, but businesses and other corporate entities have taken to social media to reach their clients. It looks like Apple has final decided to join in with the rest of the world. Recently, the tech company launched its official Instagram account.

Now, this does not mean that Apple does not use Instagram – the company runs ads on the site regularly. The company has several existing Instagram accounts for related services and apps it offers, like iTunes, Apple Music and iBooks. The official Apple Instagram account is, of course, @apple.
The account already includes a number of posts. Among the curated content are scenic galleries, using shots and videos taken specifically with an iPhone by different photographers.
The Apple Instagram account was launched on Monday, but the follower count is climbing really fast. Some may be surprised that Apple took so long to create an Instagram account. However, this launch is discreetly accompanied by its already existing marketing campaign.
With the use of the hashtag #ShotoniPhone, iPhone owners are encouraged to share their own photography taken with the device on Instagram as well.
The Shot On iPhone campaign has already been spread across TV commercials and billboards feature high-quality videos taken by iPhone users. Bringing the campaign to Instagram will help apple gather even more content to use by expanding the submission pool.
The campaign launch also falls around the same time that more rumors about the iPhone 8 are coming up. Recent reports claim that the camera may be able to capture video at 4K resolution and 60 frames per second through both the rear and front cameras.
The iPhone 7 and 7 Plus can already record 4K video, but only at 30 frames per second. hopefully, news about this and more will come up on the Apple Instagram account.
