Nigerian Government declares May 1 as public holiday
The Federal Government of Nigeria has declared Monday, May 1, 2017 as public holiday. This to commemorate the 2017 Workers day.

Abdulrahman Dambazzau, who is the Minister of Interior Affairs announced this in a statement issued on his behalf by the Director, Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior, Muhammadu Maccido.
Dambazzau congratulated Nigerian workers for their hard work, resilience and commitment to the current government despite the present economic challenge.
He admonished workers to continue to support the Buhari-led government.
