The Honor Purse V outward folding phone last month and the Magic V2 earlier this year. Now the brand has unveiled a third foldable phone for this year. The newest addition is the Honor Magic Vs2.
The foldable arrives as the successor to the last year’s Magic Vs. The latest offering is touted to be thinner and lighter than its predecessor. Alongside, the foldable device, the brand has also announced the Watch 4 Pro. Read on to know what the Magic Vs 2 offers out of the box
The Honor Magic Vs2 is a book-style foldable phone. It is touted to be the thinnest foldable phone that measures 5.1mm when expanded and 10.7mm when folded. The company says that it has used rare earth magnesium alloy to make the phone lighter weighing 229 grams. The device has a protruding rectangular camera module and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner embedded in the power button on the right side. Honor has adopted a titanium hinge mechanism for enhanced durability.
The Honor Magic Vs2 has a 6.43-inch primary external display bearing a 2,344 x 2,156 pixels resolution and a peak brightness of 2,500 nits. The internal screen measures 7.9 inches with a resolution of 2,376 x 1,060 pixels.
Both displays have an AMOLED panel, a 120Hz LTPO refresh rate, and HDR10+ support. There are also symmetrical bezels surrounding the screen.
On the imaging front, the Honor Magic Vs2’s triple rear camera setup comprises a 50MP main camera, a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 20MP telephoto unit with a maximum 40x digital zoom. Up front, there is a 16MP selfie snapper.
Under the hood, the Honor Magic Vs 2 is with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. It packs up to 16GB RAM and 512GB onboard storage. The foldable phone draws its power from a 5,000mAh battery unit with support for 66W fast charging. Software-wise, the device runs on MagicOS 7.2 based on Android 13.
Connectivity options on the Honor Magic Vs2 include 5G, USB-C port, WiFi, Bluetooth, and NFC.
