OPPO has introduced a new A-series smartphone in the UAE market called the OPPO A18. The device is a budget offering with entry-level specifications. Notably the smartphone has almost the same specifications as the OPPO A38 that launched in multiple markets earlier this month. Let us take a look at what the OPPO A18 brings to the table.
The OPPO A18 has a waterdrop notch display measuring 6.56-inches. It features an HD+ resolution, 720 nits peak brightness, and a 90Hz refresh rate. There is a thick chin at the bottom of the screen. The back panel has a pill-shaped camera module and the power button doubles up as a fingerprint scanner.
In terms of imaging, the OPPO A18 has dual rear cameras. The setup comprises an 8MP main sensor paired with a 2MP depth lens. There is a 5MP front-facing selfie snapper.
Under the hood, the OPPO A18 is equipped with a MediaTek Helio G85 processor. It packs 4GB RAM along with 4GB virtual RAM. There is 128GB internal storage expandable via a microSD card slot.
The smartphone draws its power from a 5,000mAh battery unit Software-wise, the device runs on ColorOS 13.1 based on Android 13 OS out of the box.
The OPPO A18 has connectivity options like USB-C port, 3.5mm headphone jack, 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, and GPS.
