POCO has launched a new M-series smartphone in India called the POCO M6 Pro 5G. It arrives as the successor to the last year’s M4 Pro 5G. The brand did not launch a Pro variant of the M5. The latest offering is a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 12R that is available in China.
The POCO M6 Pro 5G offers a 6.79-inch center-aligned punch-hole display bearing an FHD+ resolution, 550 nits peak brightness, and a 90Hz refresh rate. In terms of design, the smartphone has a dual-tone back panel with an elongated Black colored camera module. The power button doubles up as a fingerprint scanner.
On the imaging front, the POCO M6 Pro 5G features a 50MP primary camera paired with a 2MP secondary sensor. There is an 8MP front-facing selfie snapper.
Internally, the POCO M6 Pro 5G is equipped with a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor based on a 4nm process. It packs up to 6GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage. There is virtual RAM technology of up to 6GB for smooth performance.
The smartphone is backed by a 5,000mAh battery unit with support for 18W fast charging. Software-wise, it runs on Android 13 OS out of the box.
Connectivity options on the POCO M6 Pro 5G include WiFi 5, 3.5mm headphone jack, IR Blaster, Bluetooth, and 5G.

The POCO M6 Pro 5G is offered in Forest Green and Power Black colors. The base 4GB + 64GB variant is priced at Rs 10,999 whereas the 6GB + 128GB option costs Rs 12,999. ICICI Bank cardholders can avail flat Rs 1,000 off on the purchase of the smartphone. It will go on sale starting August 9 on Flipkart.
