HTC has launched a new phone called the Wildfire E Plus in Russia. Since 2018, the Taiwanese brand has been missing from the competitive smartphone market. However, it has been gradually launching “Wildfire” branded low-priced models in a few markets. The entry-level phone is a rebranded version of the UMIDIGI G1 handset, which was announced in June of this year.
The HTC Wildfire E Plus comes with a 6.52-inch display that offers an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. The device is powered by a MediaTek MT6739 quad-core chip that works at 1.5GHz.
The device offers 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage. The device runs on Android 12 (Go edition). For additional storage, it has a microSD card slot. It houses a 5,150mAh battery that supports 10W charging.
The HTC Wildfire E Plus has a 5-megapixel camera on the front. The camera module on the phone’s back has a 13-megapixel primary camera and a 5-megapixel macro camera.
For security, it has a side-facing fingerprint scanner and face unlock. It has other features like dual SIM, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, a USB-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
