Honor recently announced the Honor X40 GT smartphone featuring the Snapdragon 888 chip in China. Now, the company has silently unveiled a low-priced 5G phone called the Honor Play 40 Plus.
The Honor Play 40 Plus comes with a 6.74-inch IPS LCD display with a teardrop notch. The screen has an aspect ratio of 20:9 and a refresh rate of 90Hz. It has an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels.
The device features the Dimensity 700 chipset and a 6,000mAh battery. According to Honor, once it is fully charged, it can offer up to 23 hours of video playback time. The handset carries support for 22.5W fast charging.
The Play 40 Plus ships with 6 GB / 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB / 256 GB of built-in storage. The device comes preloaded with Android 12 OS, which is overlaid with Magic UI 6.1.
On the front, it has a 5-megapixel selfie camera. Its back panel has a 50-megapixel primary snapper and a 2-megapixel auxiliary camera. S
ome of the other features of the device include a side-facing fingerprint scanner, 5G support, Bluetooth 5.1, a USB-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Lastly, the device sports a slim profile of 8.27mm and weighs around 196 grams.
