A. MTN Data bundles have been revamped to be affordable, giving
you more value for money and excellent internet experience on MTN data network.
Q. Who can subscribe
to MTN Data bundle?
A. All MTN Customers can subscribe to any MTN Data bundle.
Q. How do I subscribe
to MTN Data bundles?
A. You can subscribe to any MTN Data bundles via USSD by dialing
*131*1# and selecting your preferred data plan or via SMS by sending the bundle
plan keyword to 131. See table below for keywords
Q. What are the
different MTN Data bundles plans available?
A. They are Daily, Weekly, Monthly, quarterly etc. See table
below for the available data bundles
Q. How do I check my
MTN data Bundle balance?
A. To check your data bundle balance, simply dial *131*4# or
text 2 to 131.
Q. Can I purchase
multiple MTN Data bundles?
A. Yes, you can activate multiple data bundles and all the subscribed
data bundles will have their own unique expiry dates.
Q. If I have multiple
data bundles active, which bundle will deplete first?
A. If you have multiple data bundles active, the data bundle
with the least validity will be used first.
Example: If you
have a 30-day bundle plan and buy a 1day plan, the 1 day plan will be used
first before the 30-day plan.
Q. What happens if I
exhaust my data bundle before the renewal date?
A. As soon as you exhaust your data bundle before the
expiry, your data access will be suspended and you will not be able to browse again. To continue browsing,
you will need to do one of the
following:
  • Buy another data plan by dialing *131*1#,
  • Borrow data by dialing *606#
  • Opt-in for a Pay As You Go browsing @N10.24/MB by dialing
    *131*200#.

Q. Will I be able to
rollover my unused data bundle?
A. Yes, you will be able to roll over any unused data bundle
as long as you buy another bundle before expiry.
Q. If I have multiple
data bundles active, which bundle will auto-renew first?
A. The first bundle to expire will be auto-renewed first.
Q. Will I be able to
cancel auto-renewal anytime?
A. Yes, you will be able to cancel auto-renewal on your
bundle anytime by sending the opt-out keyword to 131. See table below.
Q. Can I share my MTN
Data bundle?
A. No, you will not be able to share your data bundle.
Q. Is there bonus
data on any of the MTN data plans?
A. Yes the following bonus data offers apply.
  • 250MB Bonus on the 500MB weekly plan
  • 500MB Bonus on the 1GB monthly plan
  • 1GB Bonus on the 2.5GB monthly plan

Q. How do I check my
bonus data balance?
A. To check your data bundle balance, simply text 2 to 131.
Q. When can I use the
bonus data?
A. Bonus data can only be used between 1am and 7am. However,
the bonus will share the same validity with the main bundle.
