Back in March of this year, the Honor X8 4G smartphone was launched with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor and a quad camera. And now, Honor has announced a 5G version of the smartphone with different technical characteristics.
The Honor X8 5G is powered by a Snapdragon 480+ chip, which contains eight Kryo 460 cores with a clock speed of up to 2.2 GHz, an Adreno 619 graphics accelerator and a Snapdragon X51 5G modem. The amount of RAM is 6 GB, the capacity of the flash drive is 128 GB.
In addition, the screen measures 6.5 inches diagonally with Full HD+ resolution and a 60Hz refresh rate. A small notch at the top of the display houses an 8-megapixel selfie camera. The rear camera now has a three-component configuration: a 48-megapixel unit, a 2-megapixel depth sensor and a 2-megapixel macro module.
Additionally, the equipment includes a side fingerprint scanner, a Bluetooth 5.2 adapter, an NFC controller, a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. Power is provided by a 5000 mAh battery with support for 22.5-watt charging.
The smartphone runs Android 11 operating system with Magic UI 4.2, the custom user interface of the Chinese company.

The phone comes in two colors: Midnight Black and Ocean Blue. However, the price of the device is yet to be known.
