Alongside the Android 11 Beta release, Google is planning to make some changes in its app store and more precisely, the way users manage their app subscriptions. The company wants to lets you subscribe to a service without having to download the app at all.
Google is already testing the service on select apps. You have the option to start a free trail and proceed to the download or purchase the extra options upfront.
