Honor has launched the Honor X40i in China as the successor to the Honor X30i from last year. Some of its major selling points include a slim design measuring 7.43mm, support for 40W fast charging, and 50-megapixel dual rear cameras.
The Honor X40i measures 7.43mm in thickness and weighs 175 grams. It has a flat-edge design and houses a 6.7-inch LTPS LCD punch-hole display that supports a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2388 pixels. The screen-to-body ratio of the device is 93.6 percent.
The X40i is powered by the Dimensity 700 chipset, 8 GB / 12 GB of RAM, and up to 5 GB of virtual RAM. The device offers 128 GB / 256 GB of storage. The phone packs a 4,000mAh battery that supports 40W fast charging.
The rear camera setup of the Honor X40i has two camera rings intersecting each other. It comprises a 50-megapixel main camera with an f/1.8 aperture, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and an LED flash in the centre. For selfies, the X40i is fitted with an 8-megapixel front camera.
The Honor X40i starts up with Android 12.0 and Magic UI 6.1 on top. The device is equipped with a side-facing fingerprint scanner and carries support for AI face unlock. The handset comes with other features like dual SIM, 5G, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, and a USB-C port.
