Oppo has launched the Reno8 and Reno8 Pro smartphones in India and this signals their global rollout. This follows the launch of the Reno8 Pro+ last May in China. The Indian version of the Reno8 is an upgraded version of the Chinese model. However, the Reno8 Pro is the same model as the Reno8 Pro+ in China. The two new phones for the global market are similar but come with different chipsets.

Oppo Reno8 Launched with MediaTek’s Dimensity 1300
The Oppo Reno8 is powered by the Dimensity 1300. It has a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The handset has a similar FHD resolution as the Pro model. It however lacks support for HDR10.
The two global Reno8 models come with similar camera hardware although the Pro model performs better. A 50MP main camera sensor combined with an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP macro.
At the front, we have a 32MP IMX709 sensor with an RGBW matrix for improved low-light performance. It runs on the Android 12-based ColorOS 12.1.
