Chinese manufacturer Honor has announced the Honor X9a, a 5G smartphone with a 64MP triple camera. The X9a is the third X9-branded phone in the Chinese market. So far, the company has released the Honor X9, featuring the Snapdragon 680 SoC, and the Honor X9 5G, powered by the Snapdragon 695 chip.
The Honor X9a features a 6.67-inch AMOLED curved-edge display with a centrally aligned punch-hole. It will support a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. For security, it is equipped with an under-display fingerprint scanner.
The X9a comes equipped with a Magic UI based Android 12 OS. Just like the standard 5G model, the handset is powered by the Snapdragon 695 chipset, paired with up to 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage. The device lacks support for external storage.
As for the camera department, the X9a comes with a 16-megapixel camera for selfies. The round-shaped camera module on the phone’s back has a 64-megapixel primary camera, a 5-megapixel wide snapper, 2-megapixel depth snapper and an LED flash.
It will pack a 5,100mAh battery that supports 40W wired charging.

It comes in three colors: Titanium Silver, Emerald Green, and Midnight Black. The price of the phone still remains unknown, and it is expected to be released in the Middle East and Malaysia in January 2023.
