GTBank has finally released an unwanted piece of news for some of its customers who perform international transactions.
This is not coming as a surprise as some other banks have ended transactions on Naira MasterCard since a couple of months ago.
Before now, GTBank held the $20 limit per month till now and now, the commercial bank has announced that effective from 31st Dec 2022, customers will no longer be able to use their Naira Mastercard for international online and POS transactions.
In an email sent to its customers, the mail reads:
“We write to inform you that you will no longer be able to use your Naira MasterCard for international online and POS transactions effective 31st Dec 2022.
“Kindly note that you can use your GTBank dollar card for all your international spending requirements.”
What You Can Do
Customers who don’t have a dollar account, can simply sign up for a virtual dollar card using Vesti. In order news, ProvidusBank verve card now supports Global payments.
