Xiaomi‘s independent Redmi brand has officially launched the Redmi K50 and Redmi K50 Pro. The two models form part of the K50 series which already has the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition that was launched earlier in February.

Redmi K50 Pro launched
The Redmi K50 Pro, as revealed earlier, boasts a rectangular rear camera hump, which includes another circular ring, to house the three cameras. The front comprises a punch-hole screen. It’s a 6.67-inch 2K AMOLED display with support for a 120Hz refresh rate, a 3,200 x 1,400 pixels resolution, DCI-P3 color gamut, a layer of Gorilla Glass Victus, peak brightness of 1200 nits, DC Dimming and Dolby Vision. The display has also broken 16+ DisplayMate A+ records.
The phone is powered by the 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset, which was introduced recently. It is coupled with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of UFC 3.1 storage.
The camera part is one of the attractions of the Redmi K50 Pro. There’s a 108MP main camera with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, a 2MP macro camera, and a 20MP front camera. There’s support for camera features like Super Night mode, Cine mode, Portrait mode, 4K videos, and more.
Another highlight is the battery. It has a 5,000mAh dual-cell battery, which supports 120W fast charging tech. This is paired with the company’s Surge P1 chip to ensure smooth fast charging performance. It is claimed to fully charge the phone in just 19 minutes. It runs MIUI 13 based on Android 12.
Additional noteworthy details include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth version 5.3 (a first for a phone), NFC, dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, X-axis linear motor, a 7-layer 3950mm² super-large VC liquid cooling system, IP53 rating, and more.
