The Huawei Mate10 Pro is a beauty and pretty device to behold, but that would be much
sweeter if you can afford a carbon copy with little downgrade at a lower price
and inclusion of a 3.5mm headphone jack. There you find the Huawei Honor V10 waiting
at the corner for you to pick.
The Honor V10 comes with a 5.99-inches
screen with 1080 x 2160px resolution, however features an LCD instead of an
AMOLED like the regular Mate 10.
Even with the sporting of the Mate 10 Pro screen, the Honor V10 has its
fingerprint reader on the front like the vanilla Mate 10.
Under the hood, the Huawei Honor V10 is
powered by the premium Kirin 970 chipset which is supported with a 6GB of RAM
or 4GB (a cheaper version). It also has a version with 64GB inbuilt storage and
a 128GB option, and those can be expanded as well via microSD card.
The 3.5mm audio jack was not pushed aside
this time around, as the Honor V10 merged some of the best specs of the Mate 10
and Mate 10 Pro together.
Perhaps the biggest omission is the
Leica-branded camera. You’re still getting a capable dual-shooter with a 16MP
color and 20MP B&W sensors. It has a relatively fast f/1.8 aperture but no
OIS. The selfie cam is a 13MP shooter (f/2.0).
Just like the regular Mate 10, there’s no waterproofing,
and it comes with a smaller battery but decent enough which supports 5V / 4.5A
