Just like Guarantee Trust bank and others have announced the suspension of their Mastercard for international transactions, Zenith bank has decided to also follow suite.
The commercial bank has sent an email to all customers that its Naira Mastercard will no longer work for international transactions.
This simply means that customers with Zenith Naira Mastercard will have to settle for only local shopping and ATM withdrawal.
The mail reads,
“Dear Valued Customer,
Please be informed that you will be unable to use your Zenith Bank Naira cards for international automated teller machinge (ATM) cash withdrawals, POS transactions and web transactions with effect from January 9th, 2023.
If you have international spend requirements, simply visit any of our branches and request for a foreign currency debit or prepaid card, which are available in US Dollars, Pounds and Euro variants.”
As earlier stated, there are varieties of options customers can use to create a virtual dollar card to use internationally.
