Samsung 360 Round finally unveiled. It's a 3D 360° camera for the professionals
After spending years on development, Samsung has finally
unveil the Samsung 360 Round. Unlike the Gear 360, It’s a 360° camera that can
stream VR content in a better professional setting.

Just a single Samsung 360 round can boast of 17 cameras in
total arranged in 8 pairs and one positioned at the top. This enables it to
stream immersive 4K 360° videos in 3D (a feature lacked by the Gear camera).
If you’ve tried viewing 360° video from a user camera,
you’ll likely discover that it’s in 2D, which kills the spirit of illusion. It
takes couples of shutters to produce a 3D image with depth.
High quality audio is supported out of the box with 6
internal mics for spatial audio plus 2 external microphone ports. The IP65 dust
and water resistance means the camera can capture sights and sounds of some
less than hospitable places.
However, this camera is not just for anybody. To make a live
broadcast of its 4,096 x 2,048px / 30fps footage, the user will need a Core
i7-6950X processor with 32GB of RAM and two (!) Nvidia GTX 1080 Ti graphics
cards. Post processing is stress-free, but the user will still need an i7 CPU
and one GTX 1080 (non-Ti).
