Google just announced the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, the company’s latest foldable smartphone. Powered by Google Tensor G4 chip, the foldable has a larger 8-inch 120Hz LTPO OLED foldable screen and a 6.3-inch 120Hz OLED outer screen.
The Pixel 9 Pro Fold has a fluid-friction hinge that easily opens fully flat, and the company says it is the thinnest foldable phone at 5.1 mm when open. It has a multi-alloy steel body with an aerospace-grade high-strength aluminium alloy cover, and silky matt glass back.
It features scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and boasts an IPX8 rating for water resistance of up to 1.5 meters for 30 minutes of submersion.
The foldable has a 48MP main camera with OIS, and it can be used as a selfie camera since there is a screen on the front. There is a 10.5MP ultra-wide camera and a 10.8 MP telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom.
There are Pro controls, Super Res Zoom up to 20, Add Me, Macro Focus, Night Sight, Hands-free astrophotography, Dual Screen Preview, Tabletop mode hands-free shots, Made You Look and more features. Made You Look feature helps the kids smile for a photo by displaying an animation on the outer screen to grab their attention while snapping a picture.

The Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold is priced in the US, it costs USD 1799. It will be available later this year, said the company, without revealing the exact date.
