The Xiaomi 13T series was launched today at an event in the German capital Berlin. The Xiaomi 13T and 13T Pro smartphones are quite similar to their China-only cousin Redmi K60 Ultra but come with improved camera hardware, and IP68 certification for water and dust resistance, which is a first for the T series.

Xiaomi 13T launched

The The vanilla 13T is powered by a 4nm Dimensity 8200-Ultra chipset, which is essentially a Dimensity 8200 platform by Mediatek with some tweaks developed in partnership with Xiaomi. It’s paired with LPDDR5 RAM, either 8 GB or 12 GB, and 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

The Xiaomi 13T is built around a 6.67” OLED display with 144 Hz refresh rate, Full HD+ resolution, and over 2,600 nits peak brightness.

The main camera on the 13T has a 50 MP sensor of 1/1.28” type size with 1.22 μm individual pixels. It has OIS and an f/1.9 aperture in front.

The “portrait” telephoto camera matches the 50 MP sensor resolution and f/1.9 aperture, but has a 50mm equivalent lens. The third cam is a 12 MP ultrawide shooter with 15mm equivalent f/2.2 lens.

You get a choice between the Leica Authentic Look which aims for realistic color reproduction and the Leica Vibrant Look for some extra pop in your shots. The Custom photographic styles from the 13 Ultra are also available in the Pro mode here.

The 20 MP selfie camera is mounted inside a punch hole and lacks autofocus.

The 5,000 mAh battery supports 67W wired charging, which is a downgrade from the 12T’s 120W rate. It promises to take just 42 minutes to go from 0 to 100%.
