Unihertz, known for manufacturing compact smartphones, has once again captured the attention of tech enthusiasts with its latest offering, the Unihertz Jelly Star. Touted as the smallest smartphone running Android 13, the Jelly Star aims to revolutionize the market for ultra-compact smartphones.

The Jelly Star showcases significant improvements over its predecessor, the Jelly 2E. Unihertz has equipped the device with the powerful MediaTek Helio G99, an octa-core SoC built on a 6 nm process. In tests, the Jelly Star’s performance outperformed the Helio A22 found in the Jelly 2E by an impressive factor of three.

The new handset also boasts 8 GB of RAM, double the capacity of its predecessor, ensuring smooth multitasking and efficient app management. With 256 GB of UFS 2.2 flash storage and a MicroSD card reader, users can now enjoy ample storage space for their apps, media, and files.

Despite its compact size, the Jelly Star doesn’t compromise on camera capabilities. It sports a remarkable 48 MP rear camera, delivering high-resolution photos and videos. On the front, there is an 8 MP camera for crisp selfies and video calls.

The device also features a 3-inch LCD display with a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels, providing vibrant visuals and sharp text.

Unihertz has ingeniously packed all these impressive components into a remarkably small form factor. With dimensions of just 95.1 x 49.6 x 18.7 mm and weighing only 116 g, including the battery, the Jelly Star is truly pocket-friendly.

Despite its compactness, the smartphone features a capacitive fingerprint scanner on the back for convenient and secure unlocking.
