Xiaomi has today launched a new limited edition smartphone of the existing Xiaomi CIVI 2 in the Chinese market. The Xiaomi CIVI 2 Hello Kitty Limited Edition device has been launched with many interesting features.
The brand has added a photochromic rear panel which changes its colour when exposed to the sunlight. It turns into “blush” whenever a ray of sunlight hits its rear panel. Not only this, the brand has further customized its rear panel and many doodles of Hello kitty has been imprinted on the panel.
The photochromic back along with the imprinted doodles of Hello kitty gives its an unique look. The doodles or avatar are normally in Grey colour but when exposed to sunlight, it turns into red.
The smartphones also comes in a unique packaging box, which has also got doodles or avatars of the Hello kitty imprinted on it. So these are the changes done in the limited edition unit of the CIVI 2. There might be some changes done in the theme inside the UI to give it a Hello kitty vibes.
Regarding the specifications, the device packs the same hardware specifications when compared with the standard unit.
The 6.55-inch, 2400 x 1080 OLED hyperbolic, 58-degree flexible screen on the Xiaomi CIVI 2 has a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz.
The device has a bespoke stainless steel VC fluid cooling chamber and a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor. It has a 4500mAh battery that supports 67W rapid charging out of the box.
With front-facing twin primary cameras, the Xiaomi Civi 2 boasts the sharpest front-facing image in the company’s history. The Xiaomi Civi 2 has a 32MP main camera with an f/2.0 aperture and a 32MP dual front camera with a 100° ultra-wide angle.

The Xiaomi CIVI 2 Hello Kitty limited edition smartphones will start selling on February 9 on the Xiaomi website. The price is CNY2,799 ($410), which was the original cost of the basic 12/256 GB versions, which are now slightly discounted to CNY2,699 (just under $400).
