HMD Global has announced its first Nokia X-series smartphone which is specifically made for the United States — Nokia X100. However, the device will be exclusively available through T-Mobile and Metro network carriers.

The handset sports a 6.67-inch Full HD+ display with 2400 x 1080 pixels screen resolution and a 20:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, the device comes powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 5G chipset.

The Nokia X100 packs 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. There’s also a microSD card slot that allows you to further expand the storage capacity on the device up to 1TB.

In the camera department, there’s a quad-camera setup on the back taking care of your photography needs. It offers a 48-megapixel primary camera, a 5-megapixel ultrawide lens, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro lens. On the front side, you get a 16-megapixel snapper for taking selfies and video calling.

The Nokia X100 runs the Android 11 operating system but the company has not yet revealed when the device will be getting the latest software update, nor has it shared if it will be getting updates and security patches.

For 5G connectivity, the phone is compatible with T-Mobile’s widely available sub-6Hz 5G network. It is powered by a 4,470mAh battery with support for 18W charging and the company is also including a charger in the box.
