Earlier this week, TCL silently unveiled the TCL 20Y smartphone. And now, it has in the same fashion silently released a low-budget 5G smartphone called the TCL 20 R 5G in Europe.
The TCL 20 R 5G features a 6.52-inch display that delivers an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels, a 90Hz refresh rate, a 180Hz touch sampling rate, and a 500nits peak brightness. The waterdrop notch on the screen houses an 8-megapixel selfie camera.
Speaking about its camera department, the TCL 20 R 5G has a vertical camera unit that houses a 13-megapixel main camera, a 2-megapixel portrait sensor, a 2-megapixel macro camera, and an LED flash. The rear shell also features a traditional fingerprint scanner.
The phone is powered by the Dimensity 700 chip paired with 4 GB RAM and optional 64 GB and 128 GB storage. The TCL 20 R 5G runs on Android 11, and it offers a microSD card slot for more storage. The 4,500mAh battery of the smartphone carries support for 10W charging. The device is packed with usual connectivity features such as dual SIM, 5G/4G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, NFC, a USB port, and a 3.5mm audio jack.

TCL 20 R 5G Price and availability
The 64 GB and 128 GB variants of the TCL 20 R 5G are priced at CZK 5,290 and CZK 5,790, respectively in the Czech Republic. It is available in blue and black colors. The sales of the smartphone are expected to begin by the end of this month.
