Samsung has finally unveiled the Samsung Galaxy F42 5G in India. As expected, this smartphone is simply a rebadged Galaxy Wide5. In case you are unaware, the Wide5 itself is a tweaked version of Galaxy A22 5G.
The Galaxy F42 5G comes with a plastic build like other Galaxy F series phones. The handset sports a 6.6-inch Infinity-V display (LCD) with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels (FHD+) and a 90Hz refresh rate.
The smartphone is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC paired with 6GB/8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. For connectivity, it comes with dual-SIM, 5G (12 bands), dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, GNSS, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
On the back, the handset houses a triple camera setup consisting of a 64MP primary sensor, a 5MP ultra-wide unit, and a 2MP depth sensor. Whereas, on the front, there’s an 8MP shooter in the notch. There’s also a fingerprint sensor on the right side.
The phone runs One UI Core 3.1 based on Android 11. Lastly, the device measures 167.2 x 76.4 x 9.0mm in dimensions and it is backed by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 15W charging.
