Xiaomi’s launched the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max in early 2020 with MIUI 11 based on Android 10 and it is the first-ever Redmi Note Pro Max model. The handset was updated to MIUI 12 last year. Now, it has finally started getting the Android 11 update a year after its release.

The Redmi Note 9 Pro Max is only available in India. Hence, there’s only a single regional MIUI build for this smartphone. The device’s Android 11 update arrives with build number V12.0.1.0.RJXINXM.

The above-mentioned software build is labeled as ‘Stable Beta’ right now. This means the update is being rolled out in batches. In simpler words, it is only available for a select few users at the moment. But it should reach all the users in the coming days.

Currently, the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max has only received a single MIUI as well as an Android update. Usually, the Redmi Note series handsets get two Android updates and three MIUI updates. Hence, we can expect Xiaomi to deliver both MIUI 13 and Android 12 in the future.

Before that, the smartphone should get the MIUI 12.5 update, which is currently being seeded out to a bunch of eligible Mi, Redmi, and POCO-branded phones worldwide.
