The Nokia 4.2 was launched back in May 2019 with Android 9 Pie, received the Android 10 update last April, and now it’s receiving the latest version of Android.
The phone is now receiving Android 11 update with version number 3.150 but you need about 1.5GB data to download it. It bumps up the Android security patch level on the Nokia 4.2 to March 2021 and brings new features to the smartphone, such as chat bubbles and one-time app permissions.
The update is rolling out globally except in the countries and channels listed below:
- Chile (Entel Chile, Movistar Chile, Claro Chile, WOM)
- Colombia (Claro Colombia, Movistar Colombia)
- Czech Republic (O2 CZ)
- Poland (Plus, Orange PL, PLAY)
- Romania (Orange RO)
- USA (T-Mobile)
Nokia says 100% rollout will commence by April 12, so if you don’t get an update prompt on your smartphone by Monday, try checking for the update manually by heading to your phone’s Settings menu.
