During its YOGA x Xiaoxin spring product launch event in China, Lenovo unveiled a wide variety of products. One of those was Lenovo YOGA 5G. This device debuts as the world’s first 5G personal computer with a SIM card plugged in.
Lenovo YOGA 5G Specifications and Features
As its name suggests, the newly launched Lenovo YOGA 5G is a convertible laptop with 5G connectivity. It is features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx (SC8180X) ARM SoC paired with 8GB 4266MHz LPDDR4X RAM and 512GB UFS 3.0 storage.
The notebook comes with a 14-inch IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels (FHD), 16:9 aspect ratio, 400 nits peak brightness, 72% NTSC color gamut, and DC dimming. This 10-point multi-touch display can be rotated by up to 360° as required. It also supports stylus input with 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity.
On for the connectivity and ports front, the laptop sports dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, SIM card slot, 5G, 2 x USB 3.1 Type-C (USB Power Delivery, DisplayPort), and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Other features include a metal unibody design, 2 x 2W (4W) speakers, 720p infrared webcam for Windows Hello face authentication system, fingerprint sensor, 14.7mm thickness, and 1.35Kg weight.
The Lenovo YOGA 5G runs Microsoft Windows 10 Home for ARM, comes in a single Space Gray color option, and is backed by a 60Whr battery.
Lenovo YOGA 5G Price and Availability
The Lenovo YOGA 5G is priced at ¥9,999 ($1,540) in China. It is currently up for pre-order and is scheduled to go on sale from May 1.
This notebook is already available in multiple global markets. It is also known as Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5G.
