Just a couple of weeks ago, a number of leaks surrounding the Redmi K40 series smartphones surfaced, revealing a number of specs expected from them. Both smartphones are expected to launch on February 25, as the brand has now released a new teaser concerning its launch.
It was earlier rumored that the K40 will wield four rear cameras, but recent pictures from the company’s official poster suggests otherwise. This poster points to the possibility of three rear cameras, as the Redmi K40 is expected to feature two big cameras oriented vertically with two holes between them, one of these should be for a tertiary sensor.
The rest of the specs do seem to tally with earlier reports, as a Snapdragon 888 is expected in the Redmi K40 Pro, while a Snapdragon 870 SoC should take care of business in the Redmi K40. Both devices are also expected to offer Android 11 out of the box and posses a flat AMOLED display with a fingerprint scanner underneath and a punch hole for its selfie camera.
Certain quarters also expect a third variant to be unveiled alongside the K40 and K40 Pro. There is precious little about this variant, reportedly called the Redmi K40S, meaning that there may be no substance to some of these expectations.
