After taking a break for a few months, HMD Global is back to rolling out OS upgrades. The last OS upgrade was for the Nokia 1 in early July. Now, the company has announced that Android 10 (Go Edition) is now available for the Nokia 2.1.
The Nokia 2.1Â was released in 2018 with Android 8.1 Oreo (Go Edition) out of the box. HMD Global had promised the update will be available in the second quarter of the year, but as you can see, it has arrived late.

- Bangladesh
- Cambodia
- India
- Laos
- Malaysia
- Myanmar
- Nepal
- Philippines
- Sri Lanka
- Thailand.
Ten percent of users in these countries should get it today and everyone should get it by September 7.
Nokia 2.1 Specs
The Nokia 2.1 has a 5.5-inch HD display with the now-abandoned 16:9 aspect ratio. There is a Snapdragon 425 processor under the hood along with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of expandable storage. The phone has front-facing stereo speakers, an audio jack, an 8MP rear camera, a 5MP selfie camera, and packs a 4000mAh battery.
This is the second major OS upgrade for the device but it should still get one more going by HMD Global’s tradition.
