MediaTek officially launched the Dimensity 820 processor today. The chip making company invited Xiaomi Group Vice President and Redmi brand general manager Lu Weibing to the occasion. While on stage, Lu Weibing revealed that the upcoming Redmi 10X will be the world’s first with this chip onboard. By the way, its AnTuTu score exceeded 400,000.  To be specific, the Redmi 10X hit 415,672 points on AnTuTu.

With that score, Redmi 10X will certainly be the new “king” of mid-range in town. According to the global top 10 best performing mid-range phone for April 2020, Huawei nova 7i with Kirin 810 tops the list with 308,853 points. The Dimensity 820 clearly outperforms this chip.

For those unaware, the Dimensity 820 processor uses a 7nm process. It has four big cores plus four small cores. The large A76 cores have a speed of 2.6GHz, and the small ones use an A55 core. The company says its single-core score is 7% higher than that of the Qualcomm 765G.
