There has been rumour about a T variant of the Note 8 series even before the Redmi Note 8 launched outside the shore of China. While Xiaomi’s subs-brand Redmi is yet to confirm it, leaks have surfaced showing off renders of the said device: the Redmi Note 8T.
The phone is seen alongside the Redmi Note 8 in the render, and from the image below, there is striking similarities between both smartphones. What is more obvious is that there is the vertically aligned Quad-camera setup with an LED flash. And beside that is a Fingerprint scanner.
Redmi Note 8 vs Note 8T
This would suggest the rumored Redmi Note 8T isn’t coming with any significant update – at least in terms of the outlook, though we are yet to see renders of the front view.
According to a tweet by Sudhanshu Ambhore – the source if the image, the Redmi Note 8 will hardly get any change upfront, as it is said to be the same device as the Redmi Note 8, but with just a minor upgrade. He disclosed that the Note 8T will, in fact, get the same specs, and of course design as the Redmi Note 8. The only difference is that the new Note 8T will come with NFC support.
