Google One, the subscription service provided by the tech giant, Google for users that wants extra storage space, has again added another intuitive feature – automatic phone backups. Yes, you will now be able to automatically backup almost every media content present in your phone in original quality.

Now with automatic phone backup, we’re taking another step in helping you keep the stuff you care about safe.”, wrote Google in a blog post.

How Google One’s Automatic Phone Backup Is Different From The Standard Android Backup

You might be wondering how this feature stands out when compared to the standard Android backup that includes texts, contacts, and apps. Well, with the automatic phone backup offered by Google One, you will be able to backup photos, videos, MMS in original quality.

All your backups can be managed from the Google One app. This way, you can pick up right where you left off when you upgrade your Android smartphone.

Google One subscription starts at N390 per month offering 100 GB of storage. You can also pre-pay on an annual basis at a reduced price (N3,900).
