OPPO earlier last month trademarked the OPPO Find Y moniker which it might adopt for the sequel to the Find X. Whether or not the follow up to last year’s Find X will be named Find X2 or Find Y or even Z remains unknown.
OPPO also recently hinted that the Find X sequel might not come until sometime in 2020. However, the brand’s VP, Brian Shen, revealed in a Weibo post that a new series of smartphones will launch in the second half of the year.
Details about the supposed new series are still in the dark, however, have emerged that the new series might bear the OPPO Enco for which it recently filed for trademark protection. The application which it dropped on June 28, 2019, at the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) is still under examination.
Detail about the supposed OPPO Enco is sparse. And given that it is way too early to speculate, we would have to hold our breath until we get some official words from the Chinese phone maker.
