Chinese smartphone manufacturer, Xiaomi, has ended the Mi Max and Mi Note series of devices. Mi Max devices were known and loved for their extra large displays and big batteries, while Mi Note were an upper mid-range class of phones.
What Xiaomi says it has done is divide all its product lines between Xiaomi and Redmi brands, as follows:
Xiaomi Brand
- Mi series e.g. Mi 9
- MiX series
- CC series
Redmi Brand
- Redmi 7A
- Redmi 7
- Redmi Note 7
- Redmi Note 7 Pro
- Redmi K20
- Redmi K20 Pro
We are not going to pretend that we fully understand this new classifications. But if you are a fan of the Mi Max and Mi Note devices, those are gone and not on Xiaomi’s plans any more.
