iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Max: Everything we know so far

A lot has been dropping on the media as we head closer to the official announcement of the 2019 iPhone devices, Apple iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Max. Here is a quick summary of everything we know so far about these devices.

5G

As Apple is yet to develop a 5G modem and has been unable to source from a 3rd party, the iPhone 11 will not be supporting 5G technology. You will have to wait for the next iPhone in 2020 for that.

Design and Display

Design-wise, this year’s Apple flagship smartphones will keep with what we saw with the iPhone XS. The  iPhone 11 will sport a display measuring 5.8 inches diagonally, while the display of the iPhone 11 Max will measure 6.5 inches.

Camera

Even Apple must suspect that they will find it difficult to sell anything less than a triple camera on a 2019 flagship. And true to that, leaks have arevealed that we will see a triple camera on this year’s model and it will be housed in a squarish casing on the top left side of its rear.

Naming Convention

There have been some confusion since Apple adopted Roman numerals for the naming of the iPhone. For example, some call the iPhone X “iPhone X”, while others call it “iPhone Ten”.

You can imagine how many would pronounce an iPhone XI and iPhone XI Max. We believe that Apple will return to the old naming convention and simply call them iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Max.

Release Date

Apple has stuck to release cycle for the iPhone, and if we follow that, we can expect the iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Max to be announced in September 2019 and arrive in stores within weeks.
