With reference to the US ban on Huawei and all of its subsidiaries, Abraham Liu, the company’s representative to the EU institutions has called out the US government saying its actions are plain bullying.
Though there is 90-day lift of the ban in place to ease the customers, both sides will still suffer after the it expires. Meanwhile, the Chinese tech giant is trying to resolve the matter with Google as it believes the company isn’t responsible for the ban and it’s in its best interest to keep working with Huawei.
Google, on the other hand, declined to comment. Abraham Liu added:
Huawei is becoming the victim of the bullying by the U.S. administration. This is not just an attack against Huawei. It is an attack on the liberal, rules-based order
It’s too early to tell how big the consequences will be for both parties (Google and Huawei) but we sure hope it gets resolved for the sake of users paying a price premium for Huawei’s flagships and not receiving updates anymore.
