Today, Samsung unwrapped its latest A series smartphone, the Galaxy A80 and it’s one of the most unique device among the Galaxy phones.
First off, it comes with a full HD+ Super AMOLED display with very minimal bezels or sensors which looks pretty clean. This is due to the fact that they were able to eliminate the need to put a front facing camera and let it be on its own flip system.
The headlining feature of this phone is the motorized pop-up screen. This is a design aesthetic we have seen before and it is refreshing to see it here.
The triple camera module features a 48MP sensor which is the highest resolution sensor we have seen on a Samsung phone, an 8MP ultra wide camera and a Time of Flight (ToF) sensor for live focus shots.
Samsung, through its twitter handle has posted some Galaxy A80 promo videos to show off its rotating pop-up camera in action.
This camera module flips so that you can use it as both the primary camera and for taking selfies, which is a neat trick.
