Sad! Chrome To Stop Working On About 32 Million Android Phones

If you are still using Android 4.1 Jellybean operating system, here’s a bad news for you. Very soon, you will be unable to use Google Chrome on your Android device.

According to XDA developers, after digging through the most recent version of Chrome app, they discovered some commit which made us to believe that sooner or later, Android devices running Android 4.1, 4.2, and 4.3 would no longer be supported by Chrome app.

Based on Android’s distribution numbers, there are currently about 32 million Android devices still running on Jellybean. Meaning 3.2% of Android devices are still on a version of Jellybean out of over 1 billion Android devices.

Google Chrome

At the moment, Google Chrome can be installed from Google playstore on Android 4.1 and above; this is why it is always advisable for OEM’s to always release updates required for an upgrade on their devices.

There’s no timeline yet known for when Google is going to pull the plug on Jellybean and Chrome, but it might be sooner than you think.
