Google Marks Android’s 10th birthday With A Throwback

Android turned 10 this year and to mark this graceful occasion, Google has released the family album to show images of its little robo-baby growing up.

There are interesting treats and reminders of how far the company has come. Android 1.0 didn’t even support on-screen keyboards! 1.5 Cupcake enabled those and good thing too, since hardware keyboards died off quickly.

You can even trace the evolution of the Google Assistant. Starting with the Quick Search Box in 1.6 Donut, Voice Actions in 2.2 Froyo, Google Now in 4.1 Jelly Bean, “OK Google” in 4.4 KitKat and Now on Tap in 6.0 Marshmallow.
