YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and most social media services and site boasts of live video feature incorporated in them but none them talks of live audio feature. However, Twitter has created the trend by adding the new feature to their mobile app and called it “audio-only broadcast”.

Well, don’t get yourself so much bothered if you can find the Audio broadcasting feature as it’s currently available now for only iOS users.

This is slightly a sentimental update for me. Unpleasant because I cannot get this feature now an Android user and interesting because expectantly, Twitter on Android will soon get this feature too!

Twitter should have considered the Global OS market share 2018 statistics that says 88% of all smartphones sold to end users were phones with the Android operating system. Trying it out on Android would have made this feature more popular among Twitter users than it would on iOS users. But then, this is just my opinion.

Being audio only, I know it would save data, and could be quite. This audio-only broadcast works same as the video live broadcast. The only difference here is they can’t see you but they can hear you loud and clear. Radio stations and podcasters can make good use of this. Should you want to have a shot at being an OAP, this will do you good. If you are having a good day and you want to just talk without being on camera, the new audio broadcasting feature is perfect.

All you have to do is update your Twitter app, tap on the compose icon, tap “Go Live”, then tap the mic sign on the screen and you are live.
