LG has announcedÂ its latest flagship, the LG Signature Edition phone. As expected, the device has basically the same specs as the LG V35 ThinQ but with 256GB storage.
The rear of the phone is made from Zirconium Ceramic which, according to LG, should make it scratch resistant.
The LG Signature Edition has a 6 inch QHD OLED display with an aspect ratio of 18:9, 2880Ã—1440 resolution and HDR 10 support.
The device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 octa-core processor paired with Adreno 630 GPU. It comes withÂ 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM and offers 256GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 2TB.
As far as camera is concerned, the smartphone comes with a dual-camera system at the back which includes two 16MP cameras. While the primary sensor has a f/1.6 aperture and 71-degree wide angle, the secondary cam sports with f/1.9 aperture and 107-degree wide-angle.
The camera has AI capabilities which recommendÂ the best picture quality. At the front, the LG Signature Edition comes with an 8MP shooter with f/1.9 aperture and 80-degree wide angle.
The phone packs a 3,300mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging Â and Wireless charging support. On the connectivity front, the handset offers 4G, VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC and USB Type C.
The device runs on Androidâ€™s latest Oreo OS and supports LG Pay, a payment platform developed by LG.The sound on the phone is tuned by Bang & Olufsen (B&O) and LG is offering a powerful Bang&Olufsen headphones, Beoplay H9i, with the smartphone free of charge.
LG ElectronicsÂ has also deployed dedicated after-sales service consultants for people who buy the product. For those who want to make theirÂ phone stand out from the crowd, LG is providing an optional engraving service so that the customers can get their name engraved on the phone and as well as on the leather wallet provided with the smartphone.
The display is protected with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top.
The price is said to be a whoppingÂ $1,787 USD) or N650,000 approx).Â The company saidÂ that the pre-orders for the phone will start from July 30 and itÂ will be officially launched on August 30. Only 300 units of the device will be sold, according to LG. Itâ€™s going to be a rare device.
Though the price is on the high side, the deal is made a bit more palatable as it comes bundled with aÂ $499 (N180,000) Bang and Olufsen Beoplay H9i wireless headphones. LG is also offering an engraving service to people who buy the device to give it a more customized, premium feel.
